Pingback/Trackback hell with EBE 2.0 Final

As many of you have noticed, I'm getting a whole lot of spam in my ping- and trackbacks - Enhanced Blog Edition for SharePoint is missing some kind of spam-check for the trackbacks.

I will get to it to clear them out as soon as possible, but I'm going to Italy tomorrow and got tons of things to tend to before that.

we have this issue too with the trackbacks. over 20 trackbakcs on every post now and its sucks. i used your Console Application to delete the trackbacks and scheduled it to run every 10 minutes. but tis not a good solution. notify when there' s more information thanks

Hi Tobias I had the same issue, I commented out the XSL rendering of the trackback output entirely from the blog templates. C

Hi guys, I now get about 2000 trackbacks á day.. Perhaps it's time to shut it down if we can't find a solid solution to this problem. I created a timerjob which periodically check trackbacks with status set to "Pending" and deletes them, leaving all approved ones. However that's not a valid long-term solution if you ask me ;)
